"....Et pourtant ça me rend nostalgique

Quand je pense à ses moments magiques

Ce temps me manque.....

Learning From The Past

In the spring of 2005, I was fortunate to have participated in the American Civil Rights Education Service (A.C.R.E.S.) trip. This trip provided high school students the opportunity to learn their past by retracing the footsteps of civil rights leaders.

I have the urge to complete this post, because I recently learned of Sean Devlin's, the founder of ACRES, death. And as the semester approaches an end, I can finally dedicate the time needed to write an effective documentary/posting on my ACRES civil rights trip of 2005.

Through this post, I hope to encourage others to retrace their past and to understand their history, through the civil rights movement.

Below, a video of a civil rights trip from "The Pass It On Project", a program similar to ACRES.
